2010 Ontario Indoor Cup final Round

Just got to look at the groupings for the Ontario Indoor Cup finals. I'm not into making predictions on who is going to win what game...anyone can beat anyone on any given day. For instance Man United that plays in the English premier division just lost to Leeds United that plays in League One, 1-0 for the FA Cup.

My belief is, if you have enough game preparation and leave it all on the field come game time the end result is well deserving.

  1. Any team can beat any team on any given day and that is why the game is played. One only needs to look at the 1st game of Ontario Cup to see that. 1st game against a '98 team and logic would say the '97 team should win. But that did not happen. Furthermmore, the 2nd game, "C" team vs "A" team and logic would tell you "A" team would win. But our Rising Eagles left it all on the field and certainly put on a thrilling victory. Amazing goal-keeping by Kirsten helped keep the team in the game, in my opinion. Could have easily been 3 or 4-0 after the 1st. The team seemed to rally around some big saves and eventuially made good on our chances to score.

Having the right attitude BEFORE game time, working hard during practices, and execution during game-time can propel any team. Sounds easier than it is, right coach? -SoccerDad_8

  2. SoccerDad_8 you hit the hammer right on the nail the key word to your comment is "ATTITUDE". Everything else is easy technical, tactical and physical training. The challenge for most coaches and me is how do you get your players to bring the right attitude to each practice and game?
